Position Summary

The position will provide operational and project-related support for PeopleSoft HR 9.2 applications. It will also be responsible for documenting functional and technical specifications on a variety of application initiatives as well as development and unit testing of application enhancements.
Major Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and unit test project initiatives for PS HR/Benefits/Payroll Interface application
  • Manage IT Service Desk queue as it pertains to HR Business Systems group
  • Responsible for monitoring of PS HR nightly batch processes, interfaces and reports
  • Partner with HRIS, Benefits and Payroll groups to maintain normal functionality of PeopleSoft HR
  • Document business processes, develop functional and technical specifications in support of software initiatives
  • Responsible for development and unit testing of HR initiatives, support user acceptance testing
  • Provide day-to-day Application Support for PeopleSoft HR
  • Troubleshoot issues both technical and functional as they arise
  • Work with other groups within and outside the IT department in a coordinated fashion to complete assigned tasks
Required Experience/Knowledge
  • Strong functional and technical skills of PS HR application
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with changing business priorities
  • Flexible and willingness to learn new functionality and acquire new technical skills as required by business needs
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Consulting background preferred, experience with multiple project development lifecycles and multiple clients
  • Ability to provide outstanding application support to business users
  • Aptitude for research, analysis and resolution of problems
  • A minimum of 7 years of significant hands-on experience developing complex customizations in PeopleSoft HR
  • Proficient in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, SQR, SQL, Workflow & XML Reporting
  • Functional understanding of PeopleSoft HR including Workforce Administration, Position Management, Benefits Administration and Payroll Interface
  • Strong working knowledge of the following tools: SQL (SQL Server), MS Word, MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • At least two full project implementation lifecycles
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
