Digitalites Explore Benefits of Mindfulness in a Remote Session 2021

In the current times when devastation brought in by the pandemic has already had a significant impact on people's mental health, it is very crucial for each one of us to ensure that we work towards destressing ourselves. Mindfulness is one of the effective ways to direct our attention to the good things around us and it helps us connect with the present moment and appreciate ourselves and our lives. It involves paying attention to your senses, feelings, thoughts, and surroundings in the present moment with an accepting attitude. Lowering stress, decreasing depression, boosting memory, and enhancing relationships are just a few of the possible advantages of mindfulness.

The Digital Group organized a session on Mindfulness on 19th November 2021 to help the Digitalites reap the benefits of the practice and use it to drive away stress and bring in positive thoughts and feelings into their lives.

It was a remote session that was conducted by Ms. Dipanwita Roy, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Mfine, with M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (RCI) and M.Sc in Psychology. Her passion lies in interacting, talking and writing about mental health reaching a global audience.

The session witnessed an overwhelming response from the Digitalites and the key pointers covered in the informative session include the following:

  1. Introduction to Mindfulness
  2. Getting Started with Mindfulness
  3. How Mindfulness Helps at Work & in Interpersonal Relationships
  4. Hands On Experience of Mindfulness Activities

The session was an amazing experience for all the attendees and the session was a reflection of the commitment of The Digital Group towards employee health and welfare.
