The employees of The Digital Group came together to contribute towards relief operations for the flood hit regions in the district of Sangli in Maharashtra. Parts of the district have been severely affected by the floods, with roads submerged in water and people evacuated from their homes. With the thought of lending a helping hand to the people in distress, the Digitalites collected basic essentials like food grains, clothes, blankets, packed food, baby essentials like baby food & diapers, toiletries like soap, detergent, toothbrush & toothpaste, essential medicines, and more, along with monetary contributions.

The 2-day drive was conducted on the 13th and 14th of August, 2019. It witnessed an overwhelming response and the Digitalites also joined hands to pack all the stuff that was collected, segregating them according to different categories and putting all the stuff in labeled cartons. Once everything was neatly packed, Sagar Sawant from the Maintenance team volunteered to deliver the collected material to the flood affected people in the Sangli district.

It was an initiative to contribute towards a noble cause and it was welcome by all of those who were willing to help the people affected by the floods but couldn’t find a way to reach them. We thank the HR department for this initiative, all the volunteers for their contribution, and also the management for their continuous support and encouragement.
