The Digital Group (T/DG) conducted a Mock Fire Drill in its Pyramid Building premises in Hinjewadi on 6th Dec 2018. The drill was carried out in accordance with the international standards of fire safety and focused on the safe evacuation of employees in case of an emergency.

The drill began with a siren that was a signal for quick evacuation and the employees were asked to rush out of the building. After everyone had evacuated, they gathered in the lawns where they were made to stand in rows by the fire safety instructor. The instructor then explained the basic safety procedures, including the different types of fire extinguishers, when to use them and the right way to use them.

Digitalites actively and enthusiastically participated in the drill that was conducted to create awareness for the right approach to deal with a crisis situation and to help the employees understand how to navigate out of a dangerous situation. The idea was to create a virtual environment to help the employees get a hands-on experience of what actions are to be taken for the safety of an individual as well as that of others around.

Some Digitalites also volunteered to be a part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and they were trained for some additional responsibilities. As a responsible organization, T/DG conducts regular mock fire drills to ensure the entire team is aware of the safety procedures to follow when faced with an emergency.
